Cause Of Acne

Cause of Acne

Acne is a common skin disorder that affects almost everyone. Over ninety percent of the world's today population are affected by it, whether infants, teenagers and adults. But even though acne is a common skin condition, the real root of its development is still unknown, although there are some factors that are deemed possible aggravators of acne.

One of the possible causes of acne is considered to be the hormones. Certain studies have shown that acne usually starts during the adolescent period as the hormones known as androgens become active and rouse the oil glands in the skin to more on its own, which result to an increased oil production. With this process, the pores will then be clogged causing the blackheads and pimples to appear.

Another related cause of acne is the hormonal changes. This is actually common among women as during the woman's menstrual period or when you start or stop taking birth control pills, certain force triggers acne to occur. However, there are some claims these days which maintain that certain birth control pills are necessary for treating acne. Well, whatever the case maybe, hormonal change is but a possible cause of acne.

Numerous studies also found out that stress is a possible cause of acne. Many researchers and medical professionals in fact have noted that stress has the potential to increase acne as well as some other skin disorders although there is no concrete evidence that will support this claim. Diet is also another cause of acne that food allergies have the strong potential to trigger the outbreaks of acne.

Genetic factors also play a role in the development of acne. They are deemed a cause of acne formation as some studies have found out that if you have parents or relative who have bad acne, there is also a great possibility that you may inherit acne and may suffer from it too. Acne is hereditary that you can't control it from coming. It is basically with this reason that genetics is considered as the most possible cause of acne.

There are even some environmental factors that may also be held as another cause of acne. These factors may include the high humidity, cosmetics, petroleum oils, and even the pressure from headbands and chin straps. The act of rubbing, picking, and squeezing pimples is also another great cause of acne formation that it may only lead to a much infection and much worse condition.

Since there is really no concrete cause of acne, it is somehow wise to spend your time looking for a proven and effective treatment for your skin condition. Try to consult with your doctor first for better guidance.
