One of the most commonly heard questions when it comes to telemarketing from home is "Is there real telemarketing from home job?" or "Can our home be a place to do business with a minimal expenses?" The answer to both of these questions is yes. If in the past, telemarketing from home was not possible, then at least today it is.

Numerous reports have in fact revealed that about 20 percent of all customer service call center agents in the United States now take their customers' phone orders from their home, not from the company's office. Well, in the United States, telemarketing from home is a growing and cost saving trend for large companies with call centers. One proof of this rapidly growing telemarketing from home trend is the closing of 10 to 12 call centers this year and replaced with nearly 1,000 full time agents with home-based agents. This is also true in the telemarketing industry of India, where telemarketing from home can be seen more from past ten to twelve years and is been rapidly growing from the past two to three years.

Many experts have said that perhaps the main factor that triggers the rapid growth of telemarketing from home business is the belief that the growing telemarketing from home trend, which costs more than the off shoring trend of a few years ago, means more profit for the business in the long run. What this would mean is that a number of the telemarketing jobs that would supposedly gone overseas are going to change in nature and stay in their own roots.

As the term implies, telemarketing from home is such a business to be done from home where each and every member of the family can participate. However, in telemarketing from home environment, each and every agent should have the necessary resources, such as phone, database and, of course, product knowledge. The skills needed for telemarketing from home jobs are just the same with those who are working in the office. Thus, every telemarketing from home agent must possess communication skills, the ability to talk to strangers with confidence, the ability to understand various accents, and other qualities or assets needed for the agent to successfully perform the telemarketing job.

It is important to understand, however, that all the individuals who do telemarketing from home are basically not paid fixed. They rather obtain profits mainly on the sales they make. To put it simply, in the telemarketing from home environment, the work does not really involve targets, and it works on a simple rule, that is, more sales means more money, more profits.

Today, telemarketing from home becomes a source of promotions for banks, shopping malls and many other institutions. So if you receive messages in your mobile phones about the events in pubs, malls, etc. this is nothing but telemarketing from home. Perhaps what define the success of telemarketing from home are the innovative products, which refers to those that are not sold in the market at every corner. The telemarketing from home is now one of the most important sources for the growth of small companies.
