This is an activity where you can ride your way towards the various locations of the campsite – and being able to appreciate the excellent views around.

Having a map of the vicinity and a compass will help you navigate the place. These tools will be valuable for you so that you will not get lost as you bike around. It is also important to bring along a first aid kit for emergency reasons.

Swimming

Nature-laden campsites will be able to provide you with natural water in the vicinity as lakes & brooks for a fun swimming activity. Your family and friends will enjoy a fresh dip into these natural bodies of water – and play around here.

There are also commercial campsites that have pools for both adults and kids. This will be much safer for you family's use – but always look after your kids, keeping them within your sight.

Swimming in campsites will be a good way to add variation to your camping activities. It will not only refresh you but will also be a good way to keep your energy levels up as it is also a good form of exercise.

Canoeing & Paddling

These activities will give you an alternative way to discover the place around the campsite. It will be a good way to have fun and appreciate the natural beauty around. You will see and be amazed by the natural wildlife in the place. This may come with a small fee though for these camping parks.

Animal Watching

You will learn to appreciate the outdoors even more with a look at birds and other animals in the campsite. The rare wildlife here will be a good exposure to you and your kids on what it is like in the natural outdoors.

It will be a whole lot different with what rural fun is about. With movies, loud music, concerts and video games in the cities to keep people entertained – the natural environment in camping will provide for a different yet enjoyable experience at the same time. It will be able to provide for the variety in one's experience in this world.

Caving

If your campsite is one that is naturally gifted – you may find a cave that you can discover. Preferably, you may want a guide for your first time visit of the cave. The mystery a cave gives will make your exploration more thrilling and exciting. You will surely be fascinated by what you will see inside.

Scavenger Hunts

This will be a good way to let your kids experience more fun than they can imagine. Imitating that seen on television, the kids will like to try out reading clues and deciphering these to locate what they are tasked to look for.

This is preferably done by making a list of natural things around the campgrounds that needs to be gathered. The winner is the one who gets to gather all of the things required at the earliest possible time. This will be good in making the children learn more about nature.

Just make sure that you limit the area for this activity – and make it known to your kids. But don't do this activity if you are not sure whether the place around is safe. Your children should know what prickly plants to avoid. Such include sumac & poison ivy.

Camping Games

"Guess How Many" – This game involves taking a jar or any container for that matter – and putting in items from nature as leaves, acorns, rocks and the like. You then ask everyone for their guess, and the one who gets to guess the right the correct number of items inside will be proclaimed the winner. The winner then gets to receive a prize.

"Shadow Games" - This is a game played at nighttime that is pretty much enjoyable for kids. You will need a light source like a flashlight for creating shadow images - and ask one who can make use of his hands to form figures, animals or objects outside the tent. The kids inside the tent will have to guess what the animal or object is being formed.

"Treasure Hunting" – You will ask a group to search for a hidden artifact placed in a strategic place of your choosing. You can create treasure maps to make it more exciting for those participating. You can also make use of clues to help them along their search for the hidden treasure.

"Tug of War", "Sack Race" – These are one of those classic outdoor games one can make use of for the campers to enjoy. If you are a large group, such games may be fitting for you.

Learning to Use the Camping Tools

This will be an opportune time for your kids to learn how to use tools as compasses & maps. Exposing them to these early on, may just come in handy in the future when such situations call for it. Your kids will also be able to appreciate you teaching them these things.

Kids by nature are very adventurous and would tinker on things they find to interesting. There is no better way to fuel the learning process than by introducing your kids to these tools and making them use it for first hand experience.

Let your kids create a journal.

You may want your kids to keep a journal for this whole camping experience. It will be fun for these kids to do – putting into the journal the adventures and activities they went through.

A scrapbook will also be a good way for your children to tap into their creative minds – and make one that they can refer to from time to time. Collecting various items & with the pictures they took in the campgrounds – and placing them in a scrapbook will be a good exercise for your kids' creative abilities.

Nighttime Stargazing

This will be very fun – and your whole family can enjoy this activity very much. Each should lie down with the back on the ground – and look up in the night sky.

You can then start on appreciating the heavenly bodies and discover the constellations above. And if you should catch a shooting star, make a wish – you might just get lucky and get it.

Building a Campfire

This will be fun – as you don't usually get to do this at home. For safety purposes, you may want to let your kids sit this out when you make a campfire. If you should want to get them involved – you may assign them to get some small logs & stones for the campfire.

And when it is time to roast those delicious mallows & hotdogs, they'll taste even better for your kids since they know that they took part on building the campfire.

A game could also be played by the campfire. There is a game called "Finish The Story" – where one starts the story with a couple of sentences and the next person in line adds on to finish it. With your kids participating, you will be in for a lot of fun. Who knows what will come out from their young minds?

Camping Adventure – Taking It to Extreme Levels of Fun

Surely, there are lots to do while in your camping activity. Whether you fancy what the natural beauty around, or you are into outdoor games for high levels of fun – camping will provide you with either or with both. It is all up to you to enjoy your time there, doing what you prefer.

If you are with your friends, you can always go on canoeing or fishing & spend a casual time with them. You will get to bond even more with friends who are with you - taking pleasure in the moment & enjoying the activity. This will create common memories with them & will help re-establish friendships that may just need that.

If you are with your family, camping games will do well in keeping your kids happy & inspired. They will like the rush of adrenaline as each game is played. The level of adventure is also heightened with treasure hunting games – mimicking those in movies. Your children will appreciate the fun you have given them with such activities.

And even by just laying on your backs – appreciating the night sky & the formation of the stars above – will be an experience beyond compare. And while all of you are at it, you can always share stories and talk about the adventure you just had. It will be a nice time to share such wonderful moments with your kids and loved ones. You should not miss out on such an opportunity – and make the whole experience all worth it.

The important thing after all this – is that you had fun. This is what camping is all about. It should create for you a venue to re-energize and refresh yourself from the demands and rigors of daily life. So when you are on your camping trip, enjoy it to the max.
