Digital Camera Printer

The transition from film cameras to digital cameras were painstakingly slow, and at the cost of several thousands of jobs. While it may have caused grievances on some and nostalgia on others, yet others are whopping for joy on the ‘instant’ camera that allows the vital ‘preview’ feature. One thing lacking though, it isn’t Polaroid. You can only as much ‘preview’ the shots taken but you cannot create photos. Only when you feed the data onto a photo printer that you can have the hard results. But still, it has the blessedly non-reliance to film rolls, and the masses are more than ready to shed their camera reliance to digital technology, even if photo printings have to be done exclusively at home.

Today, digital camera printers have evolved dramatically to meet the outdoor demands, and they are common paraphernalia accompanying most digital camera. Technology allowed more quality prints on a more compact contraption. Most new digital camera printers are carry devices that runs on built-in batteries having several hours’ running capacity.

Are you curious to how these portable digital camera printers evolved lately? Check out this latest designs.

Kodak may be the mindspace for film photography but Canon gained digital camera mindspace with the Canon EOS 300D release. With the PIXMA iP90 Printer, it seems Canon is determined to stay ahead of the competition.

This Canon printer combines performance and portability. Surprisingly compact, it can produce quality prints at a definition of up to 4800 x 1200 ppp. Another nice addition is its capability to print direct from a digital camera or USB without computer access.

About USB Support
Direct USB supports are fast incorporated on newer digital camera printers, making it more ‘standalone’. No more would you need a PC to get the prints done. You just have to plug your device on the digital camera printer and preview the images on the printer’s LCD screen (most of the new designs have the LCD function). So, what should be the next embed? How about Photoshop?

Dye Sublimation on Photo Printing
Years ago, dye sublimation is the most striking technology for digital camera printer. Laser (with its raster limitation) and ink jet (with its lesser color gamut) are considerably inferior to dye sublimation technology. But while ink jet has evolved, even surpassing most existing photo technology, dye sublimation still is the most coveted digital camera printer technology. Here’s an example of a dye sublimation digital camera printer by Olympus.
