Dowling developed the school’s existing curriculum for earnest students eager to work in the food industry. After a year, 1981, the program was licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Education, and in 1989 was accredited by National Association of Trade and Technical Schools (NATTS).

Its students are from Italy, Russia, Mexico, Japan, South Africa, Brazil, Columbia, and many other countries around the globe, which in a way bring the world into the classroom sharing creative and fresh ideas.
