SOCAPA Film Camp

Enrolling your teens at film camp is not just an excellent way of giving them a worthwhile activity to do for the whole stretch of summer, it is a supportive way of helping them reach their full potential at their endowed gift in the arts. Likewise, sending your children to film camp could help them come up to realize what degree to pursue in college and what career to aspire for.

At the School of Cinema and Performing Arts (SOCAPA) film camp, teens ages 11-18 will have the opportunity to get involved in basic and advanced level film production, directing, acting, and cinematography. SOCAPA's main campus in New York City is in itself in a strategic location. The Big Apple as we know hold's one of the industry's biggest talents and professionals. And SOCAPA's proximity to them makes it a viable place for future discoveries and opportunities. SOCAPA film camp also has other locations, all of which are in bustling cosmopolitans like Hollywood in Los Angeles, Berkshires East and London.

Studying in the SOCAPA film camp also grants participants (ages 14-18), enrolled in 3-week programs for Filmmaking, Acting for Film, and Dance, three college credits at the Long Island University as issued by the university's Department of Theater, Film and Dance. Since SOCAPA film camp's founding in 1998, it has quickly turned into one of the premier schools in the world offering programs for visual and performing arts.

Teen Summer Film Camps for ages 14-18 cover filmmaking camps, acting for film camps, dance camps, photography camps, advanced filmmaking camps, and teen ESL program. Children aged 11-13 may also enroll in youth summer camps for such programs as youth filmmaking and youth acting for film.

Just like in a Bachelor's film degree, SOCAPA is also high in terms of fees. This is among the things students and parents alike need to prepare for a degree in film. At the NYC campus, High School Session 1 students will need to arrive on Sunday, June 24, 2007. Two-week camps, Three-week camps, Five-week camps, and Six-week camps costs $2000, $3000,$4600, and $5500, respectively. These tuition fees are exclusive of the $250 per week fee for Photography and Filmmaking programs.

NYC campus, High School Session 2 students must arrive on Sunday, the 15th of July 2007 to join the two-week and three-week camps that costs $2000 and $3000, respectively. These fees are inclusive of room and board accommodations, transportations, nights and weekends activities, as well as tickets to shows.

Each summer, SOCAPA film camp invites top young Hollywood personalities to teach students on fundamentals of acting and filmmaking. The SOCAPA film camp faculty is composed of no less than Masters Degree graduates of top film schools in the world, who are currently renowned professionals in the business.
