Reading With Purpose Defined In How To Speed Read
When you define your purpose to speed-read, you are taking the steps to read faster. To define your purpose to read faster, you must describe in detail what you intend to accomplish. For instance, “This week I intend to complete a 500 page book while working to read faster.” The sentence clearly defines what you intend to do and in what time you intend to accomplish the mission. The sentence also describes what you intend to achieve by reading the book.
When you define your purpose to speed-read, you also name what you intend to accomplish. For instance, speed-reading is what I intend to master. You have named your purpose, thus speed-reading is the ultimate intention, yet mastering the skill is the ultimate goal.
As you define your purpose to speed-read, you classify your intentions. For instance, I will make a list of things to accomplish while categorizing the list to prepare, and keep organization in check. This will help me to achieve my goal to speed-read.
Defining your purpose to speed-read can help you describe what you want from reading. Once you come to identify your goals, purpose, meaning, intentions, and so forth you will soon recognize what you must do to read faster.
Defining your purpose to speed-read will also help you to distinguish when you must act out your goal and plans to speed-read. For instance, I must set aside one hour each day to practice speed-reading.
Now you have a label or a sticky tag so to speak. Once you label your goals, plans, intentions, and name it you stick with your mission to achieve your goals. In time, you will become a speed-reading.
Now, define speed-reading. What does it mean to you?

Speed-reading is the ability to read information, while using learnt techniques to skim through text swiftly while comprehending what you read.
If this is your definition then you are off to a great start. Now, label speed-reading.
Speed-reading is a set of techniques with informative items attached to reading and practice. Speed-reading is using paper to attach information, which provides instructions, or identifies a subject.
Now you have definition and a label, you can now move toward your goal to speed-read. Yet, what about meaning? Moreover, what about a purpose to speed-read:
Define meaning:
When you have meaning, you have a sense of what you want to accomplish. Having sense is the stronger tool, since it promotes intellect, wisdom, common sense, logic, good judgment, and so forth. Meaning also drives you to sense, which gives you feeling to perceive, discern, stay away, and to use your intuit to make good decisions.
Define Purpose:
When you have purpose, you have reason to continue. Purpose gives you a starting point to consider, while promoting new ideas to carry out action. Purpose helps me to set my principles, while rationalize to discover new ideas. Purpose is a function where one uses intentions to achieve goals.
