Getting An Acceptable Digital Camera Price Range

If you are looking to buy a camera the hardest part is coming up with a digital camera price range that you can afford. With camera prices constantly falling and new features and models coming out, it can be very hard to pull the trigger and make that new camera purchase. The first step to doing this is figuring out how much you want to pay, and what your digital camera price range is. In order to do this you need to understand a bit about where digital camera cost comes from and how it applies to what you want.

Determining Your Digital Camera Price Range

The first thing you need to do before even beginning to determine your digital camera price range is figure out what features on the camera you absolutely must have. These extra add ones will put significant expense on top of your camera so be sure that you only have the exact features you need.

The first feature to look at is how many mega pixels you want on your camera. While everyone out there will tell you that the more mega pixels you have the better, for real life applications there is a definite limit on how many pixels you can use. For most purposes an 8 mega pixel camera will get the job done and should all into just about any digital camera price range.

After deciding that you need to look down through the features that you want. There are a myriad of possible features that you can include on a digital camera. Stabilization, lighting, and zoom are all important needed features in my mind. You can also get fuzz effects, time lapse photos, or even cameras that will automatically upload your pictures to the internet.

As you can see coming up with a digital camera price range can be a tough task. Once you have figured out what features you want and what you do not want, start looking for cameras with those features in them. After you have done that you can then start to lock into a price for your camera. If you have a good idea of what you want to spend, take that number and add then subtract 10% from it. For example if the number you came up was three hundred and fifty dollars, add thirty five and subtract 35, giving you a range of 315 to 385 dollars.

And that's all there is to it. Now you have your digital camera price range so go out and start looking for a camera.
