Calling The Shots On Your Home Theater Unit

The era of stay at home was bound to happen, no matter how hard theaters try to fight it, many folks are only going to attend movies seldom, but they will watch movies on DVD's, and satellite, often. The difference in home theater versus any other viewing experience is what sets the tone. The best units make sense is viewing is one of your pastimes, something that you really enjoy. This particular set of suggestions has with it a sense of balance, the sound system is "surround sound," but won't blow you out of the house. The DVD player is more than adequate, and can copy over VCR, a nice touch if many of your favorites are like mine, still on tape. The television that you watch can have a lot to do with the quality of your experience, because a poor viewing system will present sub quality images, and eventually you will want to go High Definition.

So there we have what, essentially we want to look over for greatness in a home theater situation - sound, VCR to DVD, and a possible T.V. purchase. We're gonna look at this like the money was our own, and the viewing time was approximately as much time as put in as an average family in the U.S. does, approximately 20 hours a week.

Surround Sound Systems by Logitech Z-640 6 Speaker Surround Sound System can be had for a pittance, $69 U.S.- Amazon.com price, or you can step up to a Sony HT-DDW670 Home Theater in a Box System $179 U.S.- Amazon.com pricing approximate. Neither of these are bank breakers, both produce good quality sound.

Panasonic DMR-ES40VS VHS / DVD Recorder comes in two color sets one silver the other black. The nice parts of this unit are that the VHS tapes which we all
still have around, will convert over to DVD right here. Priced Amazon.com approximate $210 U.S. this unit is hard to beat for quality and efficiency

And for your viewing pleasure the HDTV experience runs a gambit of price and style from the flat, to the curved, to the huge 50" Samsung HL-R5067W 50" HD-Ready DLP TV, which coming in at $1500 approximate Amazon.com price, is a hard deal to turn down. Of course, the largest consideration here might be, do you want to project an image onto a screen or wall? Those units can run anywhere from $1100 U.S. to several thousand dollars, and seemingly they aren't all that popular yet. So if you have the average sized counsel that holds the T.V. and the books and records, then you are probably going to be looking for something in the 32"to 38" range, and these are readily available in prices all the way from seven to eight hundred, up into the thousands. If we choose a fairly nice television, SAMSUNG TX-R3080WH 30" Wide SlimFit HDTV w/ Built-In HD Tuner, approximately eight to nine hundred, fine picture, good reputation.
