Comedian Steve Harvey
Broderick Steven "Steve" Harvey is the man behind a foundation dedicated for AIDS victims, a radio show, and a morning show "Steve Harvey: Don't Trip… He Ain't Through With Me Yet", not to mention five blockbuster hits from 2000 to 2005.
Born in Welch, West Virginia on January 17, 1956, American actor and entertainer, comedian Steve Harvey started his stand-up comedy routines in the mid 1980's. His discovery led him to host "It's Showtime at the Apollo" when Cedric the Entertainer left. The WB Network, recognizing his huge talent in comedy and hosting, gave him his own show The Steve Harvey Morning Show that started in 1996 and went on for almost six years. Comedian Steve Harvey's guests in the said show included the most popular music artists, award winning celebrities, as well as American Idols.

After the end of his shows, Harvey continued to do minor roles as well as releasing an audio CD that featured aspiring hip hop and R&B artist on a record label he himself founded. He also founded the Steve and Mary L. Harvey Foundation, and currently is a spokesperson for Ford and Tracfone. Hi likewise authored a book, "Steve Harvey's Big Time", which later became the title of comedy and variety show (that was later changed to Steve Harvey's Big Time Challenge). This show went on air from 2003 to 2005.
Aside from dominating the radio, comedian Steve Harvey starred in five films: Kings of Comedy (2000), The Fighting Temptations (2003), Love Don't Cost a Thing (2003), You Got Served (2004), Johnson Family Vacation (2004), and his last movie Racing Stripes in 2005.
Among the awards comedian Steve Harvey received were from NAACP Image Awards including: 30th Annual, which he won as Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series; 31st Annual, which awarded him Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Variety Series for Showtime at the Apollo; 32nd Annual as Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series; the 33rd Annual as Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series; the 34th Annual as Entertainer of the Year in 2000; and the Martin Luther King Jr. Keeper of the Dream Award.
