The Best Of Ireland's Comedians – Irish Comedians

Set foot on the native land of Bono, The Corrs, and Boyzone. Irish talents are going far beyond music – the country has a lush of stand-up comics who will be flaunting genuine crafts in the annual Bulmers International Comedy Festival in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

Irish comedians The Umbilical Brothers, David Collins and Shane Dandes, are a hilarious duo presenting comical mime acts, live acrobatics, and a condescending choreography. The two have previously won the grand prize in Australia's Star Search. Their first show Two Coats and a Hatstand from Hell certainly amused audiences while their next show Don't Explain performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival reaped outstanding reviews and sold-out houses.

Patt Short, is listed among the roster of Irish comedians who's got the ability to crack into the psyche of Irish audiences. Short started his comedy career with fellow comic John Kenny as the duo D'Unbelievables and later performed solo at the Cats Laughs. He tours internationally and four of his shows were critically acclaimed.

Crawdaddy, a comedy club in Dublin, featured three of the best Irish comedians in their comedy night, Barrel O' Laughs. Frontline act Patrick McDonnell's experience in the comedy circuit spans 10 years. He's entertained audiences in Kilkenny Cat Laughs to the famed Edinburgh Fringe with his own genuine brand of comedy. He's also appeared in television shows, one of which is "The Empire Strikes Back". Neil Delamere, one of the three Irish comedians who performed in Crawdaddy, was given a hosting stint for RTE's "Just For Laughs" series that televised the 2006 Montreal Festival. This comic has toured in 5 continents and performed his debut solo show in the Edinburgh Festival in 2005. Watch him on the popular comedy show, "The Panel".

The third comic to stage a performance in the Barrel O'Laughs is Jarlath Reagan, one of the most energetic Irish comedians, works best at improvisations. He's appeared in major comedy festivals and clubs all over Europe and the U.S. including the Comedy Store in London, as well as slots on the political comedy show, "Laughing Liberally" in New York.

Little Britain is a band of Irish comedians consisting of eccentric characters Vicky Pollard, Lou and Andy, Daffyd, Emily Howard and Marjorie Dawes. The band's recent concert had sold out tickets (at 25,000) in four nights. The band members are history makers themselves in comedy breaking BBC 3 records with 1.8 million people tuning in on the first episode of their series. They've also sold out 200,000 tickets in a day alone. The audiences simply love these hilarious Irish comedians.
