How To Best Compare Satellite TV Services

If you are looking to compare satellite TV services there are many different things you can look at and many things you do not need to concern with. I am going to stay focused on what to look for when you compare satellite TV services.

Things To Look For When You Compare Satellite TV Services

The first thing to look for when you compare satellite TV services is the base rate for each of the services and what is included with that base rate. Some people may look to simply compare base rate but they would be off as often there are many different things that can be tough to quantify.

For example, when you compare satellite TV services from the DISH Network and Direct TV you see that DISH has a lower base price. However, looking deeper you see that it does not include basic channels. Still once you include those the price is lower then Direct TV, but you have to be careful when looking at these prices. Also in addition to the DISH Network includes the Sunday Ticket with its base package, so if you are a football nut like me then this package is very enticing.

However before you go getting all crazy about the DISH Network, you may want to compare satellite TV packages as well as the simple ad ons and base prices. For Direct TV, they have several sports packages that offer quite a bit of things for the sports fanatic. These include the NHL Center Ice package which is every hockey game for the whole year. Better not have a life if you want to watch that one. They also have MLB Extra Innings and NBA League Pass, which will let you get every game from those leagues as well. If you are still looking for more you can get the New York Yankee package which not only includes the game but exclusive interviews and post game on the Yankee network. If you were to sign up for all these packages you would have more sports then any person could handle.

And this is just a comparison of the sports offerings, things get even more complicated when you start figuring in HD and Movie channels. In general the best thing to do is come up with a plan for exactly what you want then researching all the networks and see who can deliver that to you for the best price.
