Why should you buy Playstation 3?

There are several good reasons. The combined power of both the Cell Microprocessor and the RSX Graphics Processing Unit, these could be reasons enough to buy Playstation 3, because it makes the Playstation 3 the strongest gaming platform available. With these Playstation 3 graphics comes one step closer to life. If you find it hard to believe, buy Playstation 3 and buy titles like Fight Night: Round 3 or Call of Duty 3. Both games are top shelf launch titles that flexes Playstation 3's graphical muscle.

It seems that Sony intends to pummel opposition to submission by using brute silicon brawn. The ‘brain' of the system, the Cell Microprocessor is several times stronger than the recent Pentium D, and has several cores that allow massive simultaneous multitasking. The 550MHz NVIDIA RSX GPU is equally powerful, too. This graphics chip houses some 300 million transistors modeled after the powerful GeForce 7800 GTX graphics technology. It has the ability to draw textures and sprites up to the finest resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, and utilizes the Rambus XDR Memory so efficiently that clocking down isn't a problem.

With this much power one can only speculate the kind of gaming would it be when the seventh generation gaming era reaches its pinnacle. And by then it will be safe to assume that everyone would want to buy Sony Playstation 3. So take your pick: buy a Playstation 3 or wait it out until the genre has spawned enough games. But of course, you'd be missing most of the experiences by then. As of now, the most promising title is Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid 4, who also states that the game will deliver a brand new gaming concept and game physics that will simulate the ‘unseen' environment. So buy Playstation 3 and MGS4 and expect the game to handle game physics previously lacking with other games, like sonic boom repercussions from distant blasts that obliterate distant buildings.

Equivalently if you're close to buying a Blu-ray disc player, then maybe you'd want to instead buy Sony Playstation 3. There are of course other brands that utilize Blu-ray technology, products like Panasonic DMP-BD10 or the Philips BDP9000. But with prohibitively expensive prices at $1,299 and $835 respectively, it would be tempting instead to buy Playstation 3, which is cheaper at $500. And it plays movie damn well, especially if you get that latest HDTV which would take advantage of the Cell Microprocessors power.

The features you get when you to buy Playstation 3 is already wise spending. Features that include connectivity, online element, and backward compatibility make Playstation 3 bang for the buck. Especially with the online capability, where in the Playstation Network, you can download additional content, test demos, and interact with other players on global scope or bash somebody else on the Fight Night.

Buy Playstation 3. If you're into console gaming, there's no reason not to. Even the most jaded gamers will be wooed by Playstation 3's capability and performance. And Playstation 3 is still taking momentum. That's why I'm so patient in waiting for Metal Gear Solid 4. I'd like to know where "Play B3yond" would be taking me.
