Reviews On Wii Xbox 360, And Playstation 3

Reviews on Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3

Enter this seventh generation gaming with the reviews on Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. Because all these systems have a promise on their own, it is a big question which system would be the best. Would it be Playstation 3's silicon brawn or Microsoft's diverse features? Of course you can't ignore Nintendo's "pick-up-and-play" feature. Here are the reviews on Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.

Feature Reviews on Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3

Xbox 360
Microsoft's early market entry allowed so many advantages to its system. Most bugs and glitches already ironed out is one of them. Another is the already available selection of games compared to the competition. Yet another is the already functional online service, and the best so far, the Xbox Live. All because it had a head start to operate and iron all weaknesses even before the competition start to show its face –and weaknesses.

Playstation 3
Media talks have always been "how to blow a huge Microsoft lead", that's why Sony decided to play it strong by implementing a number of components that bumped Playstation 3's power highest in the competition. But will this monster system be successful?

It seems for now, it won't. The cell microprocessor is indeed strong; its capability to render textures and graphics, along with the RSX chip knows no equal. But whereas its strength knows no peer, the games that accompany its launch are as equally lame. Take for instance Genji: Days of the Blade, and you'll see a fine example of form without substance.

Wii
Nintendo spokesperson Satoru Iwata had mentioned at a press conference that Wii isn't a "struggle against Sony (or Microsoft) but on how many people they can get into playing". Such is the reason why Wii is more laidback than the competition. Nintendo was even reluctant to list Wii's spec detail, citing that games and not spec detail would make a better system.

But playing Wii is indeed a refreshing experience, more lifelike as that. Its Nunchuks (the name of the controller) can sense hand movements on three dimensions. So if your playing tennis, expect the game to require you to draw your hand or act specified movements similar to playing tennis.

Consumer reviews on Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3

So which one would your choice be? My suggestion is hold onto your older systems a bit longer. Let everything mature with time. If you can't wait, then I would suggest the Xbox 360. Playstation 3's price tag of $600 is not healthy in spite of all the hype it carries. And in spite Wii's pretense of "pick-up-and-play", it's still harder to play from, especially to players that are used in handling Xbox and Playstation controllers. What's more, both Playstation 3 and Wii still lack the number of satisfying games to make buying them worthwhile.
