If you have not heard of ethanol before, it is definitely time that you become more aware of what it is and all that it has to offer us as a nation.

Ethanol is beneficial for a number of reasons, and more than anything it is good for the environment. Overall, ethanol is considered to be better for the environment than gasoline, as ethanol-fueled vehicles produce much lower carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide emissions and the same or lower levels of hydrocarbon and oxides of nitrogen emissions.

This is certainly not the only benefit that ethanol has to offer us, and as well it is widely available and very easy to use. Most of the major auto manufacturers have already gotten in on the ethanol trend, and done their part to provide consumers with cars that run on ethanol fuel. Ethanol is also great for the economy.

With ethanol, because it is produced domestically, we are able to stop relying on foreign oil and instead be more independent. This is a major deal, especially in today’s day and age where there are so many foreign issues and where we are paying an arm and a leg just to fill up our tank.

With the use of ethanol you would be paying a substantially less amount per gallon and as well it would most likely stay at a flat rate because it is being produced domestically and therefore the price would not be constantly going up and down.

Everyone by now should be aware of the importance of ethanol and all the benefits it has to offer us as a nation. We know that we will be prospering in various ways by having more ethanol plants constructed, and yet at the same time we need to think about ethanol plant emissions during ethanol production, and whether or not these ethanol plant emissions are worth it.

The Facts

Various studies have been performed on ethanol plant emissions, to determine whether ethanol plant emissions are worth the construction of these plants or not. Time after time, it has been shown that although there certainly are ethanol plant emissions, the amount of emissions that is given off is certainly not enough to counteract the benefits we receive from the ethanol produced as a result.

As well, ethanol plant emissions are nowhere near the staggering amount of emissions from other fuel plants, and so we need not worry about this and instead should stay focused on the advantages that ethanol plants offer us.
