When In Doubt, Make BBQ Food

In today’s culinary world there is so much to be desired. The Food Network channel has numerous chefs who tout their delicious flavors and recipes around the world. It is hard to make choices, but if you are really in doubt about preparing a special meal and want to impress family and friends then BBQ food should be your choice.

There is no gourmet with BBQ food. It is just good old time grilling with your favorite BBQ recipes. BBQ food usually requires outside grilling, but sometimes you can even recreate the flavors indoors with the right seasonings and sauces. But nothing makes a person feel comfort like good old fashioned BBQ food.

Indoors and Outdoors

If you need some special appetizers with a BBQ flavor there are a couple of very simple recipes that can be used. Take a jar of BBQ sauce and put in a warm fondue pot and cut up hot dogs and drop into the sauce. It is so simple and such a delicious BBQ food to add to any appetizer table. Cooking some small pork ribs with BBQ sauce poured over them in your oven is another simple appetizer idea.

There are many BBQ sauces that come in jars with all types of different smoky flavors. This is the type of sauce you will need for these BBQ food recipes. Cooking BBQ on your outside grill is the best way to make your guests swoon. The smell from the BBQ food cooking will probably get to their senses first and they will be ready to dive into whatever it is you are cooking. There are delicious chicken, beef and pork BBQ recipes.

The BBQ food recipes do not stop with the meat lovers. Vegetables and potatoes can be grilled and made into BBQ food as well. Who hasn’t had corn on the cob barbecued on the grill? Shish kabob skewers full of meat, squash, onions, peppers and tomatoes are a big BBQ food favorite. If you are a vegan, all you need to do is lose the meat and you still have a full and filling meal. There are thousands of BBQ sauce recipes for ribs, steak, chicken, brisket and pork.

There are major BBQ cook-offs in the south especially in Texas. The best BBQ comes from Texas, whether it is pork, beef or just the sauce itself. When in doubt on what to cook for Sunday dinner just dust off some of mom’s old BBQ food recipes and your palate will not be disappointed.
