The English Tea Ceremony: The Tao Of Tea

As we all know, the concept of tea ceremony was first introduced by the Japanese culture as part of their tradition. Many of the Japanese began to practice the tea ceremony as part of their religion which is Zen Buddhism and for them the tea ceremony is sacred. From the introduction of the tea ceremony in Japan, the popularity of tea continued to travel until it reached England. For that matter, many people then and now in the British Isles began to embrace the English tea ceremony as part of their culture and tradition.

So for that, it is not amazing that many of the English especially those who are really tea drinkers still practice the English tea ceremony. As far as I know, the English tea ceremony is also associated with the English tea party or the English tea time. As such, the English tea ceremony involved some gatherings and since it is an “English tea ceremony” the tea is at the center stage.

As the title “English tea ceremony” implies, the English tea ceremony then is a formal gathering that is often decorated lavishly. As such, most of the people in an English tea ceremony are actually dressed elegantly with their well-adorned caps with matching rose designs and linings.
