Famous Cigars

Famous cigars are so much like wine. Even though cigar choices are always subject of preference, a personal experience derived from smoking the cigar, there would always be those that follow certain brand out of the glare of publicity, regardless of the quality or the experience of the product.

That’s why if you were to ask any cigar smokers on those brands they love smoking best, it’s always a likelihood that the name Bolivar, Cohíba, H. Upmann, Montecristo, Romeo Y Julieta, Ramon Allones and Trinidad will be mentioned once, twice, or in all choices. And old cigar hands can only shake their heads in disgust.

True to the fact, Cuban cigars are the most famous cigars in circulation today. But charlatans are carousing at the wrong judgment. One of the reason why ‘Habanas’ became so much in demand is because of the controversy surrounding it, making it a highly appealing material. The United States embargo against Cuba, whom a number of elite opinion makers remarked openly that the embargo did more harm to the United States than Cuba, makes it contraband, and everybody loves a high priced contraband. Whether the decree was ill made or not, it is clear that most ‘new’ cigar smokers are more reveling on the idea of smoking a contraband material.

Famous cigars, these Cuban cigars should be enjoyed because they are a work of masterpiece. Old timers know that there are two factors that determine the value of a cigar: the quality of the tobacco material and the superiority of the maker. Cuba, having the micro tropical climate of Vuelta Abajo, plus a generation of seasoned tobacco rollers having the passed down knowledge of curing and fermenting leaves makes them highly remarkable cigar making country. And Cuban cigar makers take it to pride, that they boasted their products as “Totalmente a Mano” meaning: “Totally made by Hand”.

Almost everybody agree that Cuban cigars are the best, most famous cigar sought from any parts of the globe. That’s why every cigar aficionados takes it a pride if a couple of ‘Habanas’ rests on their humidators, that they can present on important occasions or show off on important guest.

So enjoy these famous cigars as they should be meant to be enjoyed. The best thing in smoking an Upmann or a Montecristo or a Romeo Y Julieta is the experience in smoking these vintage products. Prestige comes second. If ever you are preparing a gentlemen’s treat in cigar, you’ll never go wrong with presenting a box of ‘Habanas”
