To get the full picture as to how this business became so successful and how it started, let us take a look at the company's short history.

MK Diamond is a family owned business that started in San Francisco back in 1868 by Joseph Musto. Joseph Musto is a fifth generation Italian stone-cutter and tile setter, whose forefathers were known as master craftsmen. He took advantage of the skills that his forefathers have and brought them to his new home in American and established the Musto Steam Marble Mill. The trademark of the business was its pledge to quality work and service. The Musto Family believed that good enough wasn't really good enough! It's a very strong standard, yet achievable. In fact, it is from this work attitude that MK Diamond continues its insistent pursuit to producing quality products.

During the late 1919, the son of Joseph Musto, Clarence, came to Los Angeles. After 30 years, the newly named Musto Keenan Company had gained a reputation for making top quality diamond tools to cut marble and tile faster and more efficiently. Beginning in 1974, and under the leadership of Robert J. Delahaut, the company moved in a direction that has established itself as a world leader for precision power cutting tools and diamond blades. MK stands firm on their commitment to making their products and services the yardstick in which the rest of the industry measures itself.
