Many people tend to take back acne as being less serious than facial acne because it is not easily seen and the less sensitive skin on the back means that the pain and discomfort, at least in the initial stages of the problem, are less. This is a big mistake as back acne can grow to the proportions of being a major health problem as well as affecting your mobility. While acne in teenagers is caused by hormonal changes in the body, acne that occurs in adults, including back acne is caused by a number of factors, including excess oil collection in the pores, blockage of the pores by dirt and sometimes internal problems of the body. The end result is that back acne is often more widespread, deep seated and more highly inflamed that facial acne.

And while acne is commonly considered to be a teenager's problem, it can affect anyone and can occur on any part of the body. This is one of the hardest areas of the body to clean because reaching it is tough and if needed use a soft sponge with a handle to ensure that every part of your back is cleaned. The easiest form of back acne cure is the use of an over the counter body wash. The most effective ones contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Use the wash every day for about a week, but be careful not to scrub the affected area to hard - you could break the skin and this could lead to an infection. It is tempting to believe that a hard scrub will keep the back clean.

First of all apply pure honey on your back every alternate day at let it stay on for at least 30 minutes - honey is a great skin cleanser and disinfectant. Rubbing the skin hard will only cause the pimples to burst which can lead to the skin getting infected and the acne spreading to a larger area. In case the mild body washes do not work, try the stronger ones and if there is still no reduction in the acne, try one of the over the counter lotions or skin cleaning gels. Once again start with the mild ones and work your way up to the stronger ones if needed. Wear only soft fabrics next to the skin on the back. This will ensure that the skin is not irritated and increase the effectiveness of the back acne cure.

This will reduce the sweat formation and collection on the back. Avoid apply antiperspirants or deodorants onto the acne affected surfaces as this could clog the pores and render the other back acne cure actions you are taking ineffective. Food can often contribute to the occurrence of acne so consult a nutrition guide and modify your diet as part of your back acne cure plan. Make a special effort to keep checking up on your back.
