Most of you have probably known someone who is addicted to drugs or alcohol or you yourself might have been in the past or are dealing with this problem currently. If so, then you know far too well what alcoholism and drug addiction can do to a person. It can change everything about them, if the drugs and alcohol are being used frequently. There are many signs and symptoms that your employer should be aware of, which include, changes in mood or behavior, red eyes, erratic like behavior, depressed, changes in appearance and poor work habits. These things, if noticed could eventually cost you your good job, your way of well being, your means to survival sometimes. It is important that all of these things are recognized so that you will know if someone around you might be using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol. Alcoholism and drug addiction are very common unfortunately and if you notice some behavior changes in an employee or a friend, perhaps try to talk with them about what you have noticed, be prepared for denial though, most people do not ever want to admit that they have a problem.
