Once there is a scheduled appointment made for the child to see their doctor, the truth comes out""children and back pain is real. Children suffer from this troubling ailment, as well.

With the very poor sleep habits that have developed these days, it is clear to pin point exactly what the culprit is in this problem. Each and every time you go to bed, you place a rather large amount of stress on your spine. This in turn affects your neck and shoulders, and so the chain of pain begins. There is no real difference in the manner that an adult sleeps apposed to a child, fact remains that pretty much everyone has very poor sleeping habits. Once the problem has started, it is very hard to correct, as the daily rigors in life seem to only intensify the problem. This can include prolonged sitting, walking, exercise, or bending over to tie your shoes.

It is believed that the time that you sleep is to allow for the rejuvenation of your muscles, joints, and bones. If they are under stress due to poor sleep habits, how exactly are they mending or healing? If your neck is elevated while sleeping, or your back is in an awkward position you are only adding to the stress to your body that you have placed on it while you were awake. Once this pain has set in, you can be sure that it is going to be hard to erase. It will come to a point that it will become unbearable. As you get older, and you already have this ailment it will become harder and harder to cope with it. This is due to the fact that the muscles just to not recover as fast when you are older. Therefore, a simple sleep will not really erase what has been done to your body daily. It will only compound at this point and there will be no relief in sight. This in turn could cause some very distressing situations where you may have to undergo surgery or some kind of painful therapy. The back pain is not the only problems that can result from poor sleep habits; there is mood swings and depression as well. Adding this to the already very painful back, neck, and shoulder problems and you will be unbearable to be around.

One of the first things a specialist will try to do is get a new pillow in place for you for your sleeping habits. This pillow will properly support your neck through out the night, and more than likely will be adjustable. More than likely there will be a memory pillow in place on the list of top candidates. These pillows will support your neck properly, and they have been said to help in the curing of ailments such as back and neck pain. Once the doctor has adjusted your sleep habits, they will then turn to the daily route that you currently have. They will try to introduce some type of relaxation exercise, and or yoga, and massage therapy. All of these methods have been used in the past with great success, in the relief of troubling back and neck pains. If for whatever reason, the sleep habit adjustment and the new health regime does not cut it there may be an underlying problem that the doctor may have to further investigate. Once the pain is acknowledged, there is no turning back from there. This is due to the fact that the pain is not going to go away on its own, it is only going to get worse over time. As you get older there is a good chance that it could incapacitate you and leave you bed ridden. Do not leave this to chance, if you are having problems consult your doctor immediately.
