· French Beans

· Apple

The active property found in apples called Malic Acid is known to have a neutralizing effect on uric acid present in the bloodstream of a gout patient. It is recommended to eat at least one apple after every meal to help treat gout.

· Banana

Bananas are well-known food remedies for gout. Eating bananas have good effects on patients with gout and there has been evidence that eating at least 8 to 10 bananas for 4 straight days can help relieve pain and swelling on the affected joint.

· Lime

Lime is a good source of Vitamin C that helps in strengthening the connective tissues surrounding the joints. It is best for gout patients to drink fresh lime juice everyday because it helps alleviate pain and swelling of the affected area. Furthermore, the citric acid present in lime juice helps eliminate purine and uric acid that are deposited in the joints. For best results it is recommended to drink a glass of fresh lime juice in the morning and in the evening.

The food remedies for gout discussed above are proven to have positive effects on treating and preventing gout.
