A gout prevention diet is basically one which is geared in preventing the development of gout, one of the most painful types of arthritis known to the medical world.

Gout is basically a metabolic arthritis, where the formation of uric acid crystals lead to a world of pain for gout patients. Cherries, celery and cheese are known to be great anti-gout food, as these are often prescribed for gout patients to take in as part of their gout diet. As entries into the gout prevention diet roster, these foods aren’t exactly bad things to have in one’s menu.

About seventy five percent of gout cases have their first gout attacks happening on their big toes, or big toe. With this as an indicator, should you experience any pain in your big toe or big toes, you may want to have that checked. It just may be gout.
