Head lice are brown or black insects that have no wings and are parasites. They thrive in hair and live their entire lives in our scalps. Those commonly infested with head lice are children ages four to ten years old but this is not a guarantee that other ages will not be infested as well. Teachers must also be vigilant about the signs of head lice and report any findings to the parents and the school faculty.
