Although headaches can be quite irritating, most types of headaches are not really serious. In fact, some types of headaches can be safety treated at home. If you are one of those people who tend to suffer from mild to moderate headaches every now and then, you should explore the possibilities of using simple home headache relief to deal with your pain. Simple home headache relief is a lot better than popping a pill into your mouth.

Rest is the most common home headache relief. If you are suffering from tension headache after a long day at work, the best thing for you to do is to take a break and rest for a while. Lie down and rest your head comfortable on a soft pillow. Close your eyes and take a nap. Taking a nap will restore your energy and will make you feel better. Another popular home headache relief is the ice pack. Yes, cold compress work well even when you have a throbbing headache. Just put some ice into a bag or wrap it is a towel and them press the bag or towel on your head. Press the ice pack on your forehead, at your temples and at the back of your neck. On the other hand, if you feel that your whole body is so tense, you might as well have a warm relaxing bath. A lavender scented bath usually helps relieve muscle tensions and headaches.
