Headache is a frequent symptom of any disease, and one of those diseases would be sinusitis. The pain becomes severe and is widely distributed over the body because the inflammation has not subsided for many days already. In a severe sinus headache, all your sinus cavities may have clogged up too much already that extreme limitation in the airflow happens. The linings of the sinuses get too much irritated that not only inflammation but swelling of the sinuses happen as well.
