Infertility

Some Of The Female Infertility Symptoms That May Occur

Infertility is a condition that affects roughly around 1 in 4 couples that have been trying to conceive for a year. Most couples are stunned to discover that they have been unable to get pregnant after a year of trying, but there can be some clues that infertility may be a problem for some couples.

Female infertility symptoms may not be obvious to many as they are considered normal for that woman. For men, the symptoms are not as obvious and they may be completely surprised to learn that they have a low sperm count or that the sperm have problems with mobility.

Looking At Female Infertility Symptoms

The signs of female infertility are not always obvious and in fact can be common to woman who isn't infertility too. One of the female infertility symptoms that may come as a surprise for some woman is painful periods. Most woman assume that a painful period is just part of being a woman, but this can be a sign of a bigger problem, endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a condition where pieces of the uterus, the endometrial lining are found outside of the uterus. This tissue can cause scarring and it is also known to be sticky so that it pulls organs out of place and can even adhere them to each other. Women with painful periods may be experiencing one of the female infertility symptoms that are associated with endometriosis. Each month this endometrial tissue responds to hormones, much like it does within the uterus, this can cause the tissue to become inflamed. This of course causes the chain reaction of pain that is felt during a menstrual cycle.

Another of the female infertility symptoms that may occur is the absence of a menstrual cycle, or an irregular menstrual cycle. Both of these can be an indication that a patient is not ovulating monthly or even properly. For ovulation to occur all of the hormones must be functioning properly for the process to work. Estrogen must be high enough to signal the ovaries to produce an egg, another hormone LH must be signaled to release the egg and then finally progesterone must be present to prepare the uterus for implantation of the embryo. If a woman has any of these out of balance their periods may be irregular or absent.

Female infertility symptoms may not seem obvious as woman may have been experiencing them for years and not realized what this could be a sign of. Female infertility symptoms may also be present and a woman can still get pregnant, which is why the process of conception still holds many mysteries.
