Infertility

You Should Know That Being Significantly Overweight Can Cause Infertility

There are a tremendous amount of facts proving that lifestyle choices have a great impact on the body, more ways than one. Many people suffering with obesity could eventually find out that they are increasing their chances for becoming infertile. Infertility strikes so many men and women and many of them may not even realize what a difference their own weight plays, in whether or not they will ever be able to conceive.

Some cases have even proven that women undergoing gastric bypass surgeries to lose massive amounts of weight, once they have lost the weight, they in fact become fertile again, perhaps even for the first time. Getting all of those extra pounds off of your body, helps your reproductive system work properly and with that, you do stand a big chance of being able to conceive. I am not saying go out and have a major surgery such as this, I am simply saying that, if you are overweight and infertile, you should consider trying to do something about your weight problem and by doing so, you may find that your body works more efficiently all around and you may also have the ability to have a child of your own one day, because of the lost pounds.

If an overweight woman does get pregnant she is more likely to suffer from high blood pressure, toxemia, gestational diabetes and a heavier baby, which could result in having to have a c section upon time of delivery. The entire pregnancy is just much harder on a woman already suffering with being overweight. Pregnancy is not easy on any woman but for an overweight woman it can sometimes feel unbearable at times. The swelling in the feet that occurs, along with the severe back pain, it can just be too much at times.

It is very important for women thinking of becoming pregnant or trying to recover from infertility to decide to start an exercise program, along with a much healthier diet. It will not only help you with your infertility problems, it will also help you feel better about yourself and make your overall health improve drastically, without having to consider any kind of weight loss surgery. There are so many risks involved with those weight loss surgeries, you do not have to choose that path to lose your desired weight.

Infertility can be something that you could recover from, with losing the much needed weight that has been needing to come off for a very long time anyway. It is not always caused from being overweight, sometimes, other health problems and reproductive problems can lead to infertility. The fact is, that being greatly overweight is just so unhealthy and it does play a role in being infertile. Talk to your doctor about a proper diet that you think you could stick with and perhaps join some friends on an evening walk a few times a week. You will be so glad that you did and your health will really show signs of improvements.
