The Age Of Menopause

All women at a point in life have to face menopause and this is the reality. This is a stage that many women fear while others rejoice over. However, it is a period that presents differently in all women because of their uniqueness. There are signs to announce menopause that are common to all women. Some of these signs show up well before the monthly flow ceases. However, it is important to note that the age when menopause happens cannot be pin pointed.

The symptoms in women during this stage are caused by hormonal activities which will be going through major changes that centre on causing the signs. Severe cases of the symptoms will need to be taken care of and medical attention is worth considering for proper management. According to the observations that are made, women can start from their mid forties all the way to the mid fifties. However, when thinking about the age of menopause, the average age will be the guide to the most common age where women get their last period.

The current average age of menopause according to experts is 51 and at this stage, women will have gone through different experiences with signs that indicate the transition. It is not uncommon for some women to reach this stage before others their age and the following can cause this. If you are a smoker, menopause will come sooner for you rather than later. Other problems of health can cause the complications and this is also not uncommon. It is important then, that women stay away from smoking environments if their fertility is to be preserved indicated by their menses. Women who have had a hysterectomy done, they reach menopause faster and this is a procedure that sees the uterus removed.

Women need to look at all the signs associated with menopause so that they can know when they are approaching this season of their life. For this reason, the following are examples of signs to look out for and they may be experienced before, during and after menopause but not too long after. First, there are changes in periods which may come close together, be heavy, and even last longer. Many will start experiencing hot flushes that may attack severally during the day and at night. Women may have trouble sleeping and even feel less or more sexually aroused. The signs are many and when you start to see them, the age of menopause might be at hand.
