Pain Management- Information On Handling Pain After A Seizure

There are so very many different kinds of pain that we all have to experience each day. I would like to talk to you about the physical pain you might experience after having a seizure. I have had epilepsy since birth and have had many types of seizures. One of the worse types of seizures I have experienced is grand Ma seizures. I learned I
would have to find a way to manage my pain from them. Even though I never remember much about the actual seizure I sure know what the pain feel likes after I come out of one. The most common thing that happens from having a seizure is biting your tongue. You will form very tiny blisters all inside your mouth. They mainly appear on the sides of your tongue or underneath your tongue. The pain is really bad from the blisters so Here are some ways I manage my pain from those blisters. You don't want to use salt water on those blisters. That will make the pain worse. Pain management can help you live a healthier happier life.

I take cold ice water and actually fill it up in a glass and soak my tongue in the cold water. I also mix some cool water with hydrogen peroxide and swirl that around my mouth to help prevent infection in my mouth. I know that sounds like it would taste terrible but I assure you there is no taste from it at all. Having a epileptic seizure just absolutely drains a person. So if you can learn some ways to manage your pain it would be helpful to learn as much as you can. You may know a family member that has epilepsy and goes through a lot of pain from a seizure and may not know ways to help them manage their pain from one. If you know of someone going through this get them to read this article. I know from experience what they are going through. The most second common thing that happens when you have a seizure is that you will take a fall and probably bruise yourself up pretty bad. You really can't do anything about the bruising but let them heal on their own. But after having a seizure you need to stay relaxed as much as possible to manage the pain from having one.

Take the time to just fill you up a hot tub of water and just lay there and relax. The more relaxed you are the better chance is that the stress from having a seizure will soon start to go away and you will then be able to relax and then start managing the pain you are having from the seizure. Also if you have a headache after one get in a dark room and stay still. Put a cold cloth to your head and try and get some rest. You really need to learn different ways in handling an epileptic seizure. It can be very helpful when or if you need the information for someone you love. Pain management methods will definitely help you throughout life.
