Pain Management- Methods Used To Manage Mild To Moderate Pain

With to days busy lifestyles the majority of us have to many different things that can cause us pain. Most of us have jobs that we have to do that will cause back pain or joint pain of some type. I am a very large person so to even get out of bed in the morning is difficult to me. Here are some ways I try to manage my pain every day. The most pain I experience is in my back when I first get up and my legs when I go to bed at night. When I get up in the morning I try to do a daily routine so I don't just want to stay in bed all of the time because of my pain. If you make yourself get up to a daily routine that will help you. A nice hot bath generally helps me in the mornings. The first thing I do is get into a hot tub. Don't make it extremely hot where you can get burned but hot enough to relax and feel good on your joints.

You can sit in the tub for a few minutes and relax and you will see how the hot water will relax you so much that it will start to help manage your pain. After I get out of the tub and get dressed I find my blood starts to get going and I start doing things around the house. Because of my size I cannot go out and take long walks or go to a health club. But I have found just doing things like the dishes or wash clothes or make the bed starts helping with the pain I have. Just laying around will certainly make your pain worse. You have got to try and find different ways to help your situation. If you are in the same situation I am I guarantee you if you just try and make yourself get up out of the bed and move around the house some it will help you manage the pain you are having. I find at night when I do go to bed that my legs hurt me very badly. I talked to my doctor and found out I had that restless leg syndrome. She didn't want to give me any narcotics because my doctor said you can get depended on those.

She gave me a medication that is not a narcotic and it has helped my leg pain very well. So if you have pain in your legs at night where they are jerking and twitching and you can't go to sleep because of the pain talk to your doctor about the restless leg syndrome. Once you find out what is causing your pain then you can start to manage your pain. Don't wait until your pain gets so bad that nothing can help you other then a strong pain medication. The longer you try to ignore your pain the worse it will get. So talk to your doctor about what is bothering you. The sooner you know what is causing your pain the sooner you will know how to manage your pain. So get up and take the first steps that will help you control the pain you are having. Don't be embarrassed to ask your doctor for help with your pain. That's why a doctor is a doctor. They went to school to learn about these things. Were not doctors so we can only guess in dealing with pain management and when it comes to pain I wouldn't want to guess what is wrong I would want to know. Wouldn't you?
