There are men, women and children who suffer from panic attacks and the worst part is that they can come on at any time and they come without warning so you will pretty much never have any idea when to expect an attack. Researchers have found that panic disorder is a condition that runs in families and so this means that if there is someone in your family who suffers from panic attacks, you are that much more likely to suffer from them as well. Scientists are actually not sure as to why there are some people who are more susceptible to panic attacks than others. The same goes for medication withdrawal for instance when you are coming down off of antidepressants, and this is another of the most commonly reported panic attack causes.


Being aware of the different panic attack causes is one thing, but you have to remember that this does not mean in any way that you will be able to avoid getting panic attacks. The point is that if you do, you need to make sure that you get in to see your doctor as soon as possible so that you can discuss with them what your different options are and make sure that you are getting treatment as soon as possible. Panic attacks can be incredibly frustrating and cause a lot of problems in life. So it is important to get them dealt with right away before they become a huge problem and they are too out of control and it is going to be that much harder to deal with them.
