Learning Is Fun: Bird Watching Trivia Game

There are many ways for families to become interested in working on a hobby together. For example if wishing to take up the hobby of photography, the family can each obtain their own camera and travel to different places together to take photos. This could be an exciting process and one that will engage the children because of the excitement of having their own equipment as well as traveling to different places.

Or, if a family wishes to take up the hobby of bicycling, each of the family members can get their own bicycle and make it a point to go out each evening on their bicycle ride. Additionally, this hobby can be enhanced by planning a vacation that focuses on going to places that are known for wonderful and scenic bike paths.

One additional hobby that is educational, but fun is bird watching. In order to create an interest in the family to participate in this hobby the parents may choose to combine a game with the bird watching hobby. Specifically, one particular type of game that can be combined with this hobby can be a bird watching trivia game.

What Is Bird Watching?

Bird watching is an interesting hobby that the entire family can be involved in. Generally, it is an inexpensive hobby and only requires a bird feeder so as to attract birds to the home of the interested family. Another important resource that helps involve the family to identify the various birds that come to feed at the bird feeder would be a bird identifier book. These types of books can be purchased through the Audubon Society or purchased, or can be checked out of the local library.

Another resource that the bird watching family may want to invest in is a good set of binoculars. This will help the individual to get a closer view of the bird and help in the observation and identifying the specific species of bird that comes to feed.

What Is A Bird Watching Trivia Game

In addition, there are many ways that a parent or parents can pique the interest of the family members to get them involved in this hobby. One of those methods is by playing a bird watching trivia game.

A bird watching trivia game is a fun way to learn about the various species of birds. Specifically, this bird watching trivia game requires two players or teams that are given a playing piece and those players begin to move that game piece around the playing board.

In addition, there are various levels of expertise that can be selected when utilizing the question cards that are included in the game. When each of the players has taken their turn they are asked a question that is posed on the card. If the question is answered correctly then their turn continues. However, if the question is answered incorrectly then that player's turn is over. The object of the game is to be the first one to go all the way around the board.

An example of some questions that may be posed in this fun bird watching game could include on what coast of North America is the common species of the Albatross found? Or another question that could be posed is what woodpecker is now thought to be extinct?
