Different Types Of Digital Photography Cameras

Taking pictures is a great way to capture the most important and special events in your life. A digital camera is a camera that uses pixels to create an image that is store inside of the camera on a memory card. Different types and models of digital cameras are available for purchase. The purchase prices vary from as low as $50 up to $1000 or more. At this time, there are currently three types of digital photography cameras available.

A digital consumer camera is the first type of digital photography camera. Because this camera is lightweight and user-friendly, it is recommended as a great camera for beginners. They come with built-in lenses and have features such as zoom control and a self-timer. These cameras should mostly be used to take pictures of stationary images because it does not have ability to take quality pictures of fast moving objects.

Another one of the different type of digital photography cameras is called the digital singles line reflex (DSLR) camera. These cameras offer interchangeable lens, which give the user the ability to take a different variety of photos. It has the ability to capture images in poor lighting and images that are in fast motion. Both automatic and manual features are available as part of this camera. The DSLR camera is heavier than the digital consumer camera but it takes very good quality pictures. Some people may view this as a downfall.

The last type of digital photography camera is the digital prosumer camera, which is mostly used by professional photographers. The term "prosumer" is used to describe this camera because it is a camera that is designed for professional photography use but has a consumer price tag. The camera has the same function as the DSLR camera. However, the image resolution, control features and design are better than the other types. It is also more expensive.

You should first look at each type of digital camera and determine which one would be better for you to purchase. You should also look at the cost of the camera, the features that it offers, the amount of battery life and the type of accessories you are able to purchase. It is recommended that you take the time to read any reviews and do your research before your purchase.
