Traditional Vs. Digital Photography

Over several decades digital printing and photography technologies has improved both the quality of the images and consumer affordability. Also with the creation of ink jet printers, professional as well as amateur photographers can enjoy enlarged printing capacities as well as sharper picture images.

The older process of scanning negatives from a picture are replaced by the more efficient digital medium, making pictures more life like and detailed. There are several corresponding software solutions that are compatible with digital printing technologies. For different reasons many people prefer the older photographic methods wether it be for the nostalgic presentation of the image or just the dislike for technological advance. Either which way I feel digital photography provides a more lasting appeal.

Ink jet printer processes have provided creative outlets for digital imaging photographers who not only benefit from cost reduction but the acceptance of their art work in galleries around the world. Now still images come to life through movement and sound. With this kind of technological advance, DaVinci would still be relavent today. It is not the process by which the image is created it is the content of what the image represents.

Some of the options that the digital world provides over the traditional ways are image enhancement, color and background change as well as convenience and cost reduction for the consumer who can save money on professional photographs which can now easily be taken and printed with the same quality. Treasuring moments for half the price allows the enjoyment of the images to be priceless.

Scrapbooking and the use of digital photography compliment one another by providing easy exchange of images with this new technology. With the use of special photo paper you can print photos and create scrapbooks online to share with your friends and family and the rest of the world if you choose. Digital images provide limitless exploration of your imagination.

If you have never used a digital camera, don't panic! With a little practice you will become an expert in no time at all. You will love the quality of your pictures and the fact that you don't have to wait to see them. As good as Poloroid was, with instant technology digital evolution will continue to revolutionize the images as we know it.

So, wether you choose digital over traditional, well, that's up to you. But from what I have found is you can't go wrong with upgrading in life, moving on, following the flow of the future. It is here to stay and it's just going to keep improving and growing every year. When you get used to one way, well, something else comes along. Some of you will never move on to digital photography but you may want to ask your friends about it. I am sure more than a few that have moved up with technology will tell you it is worth the cost. Change is good my friend. I hope I have helped you make that decision.
