Machine Embroidery Designs: The Basic Types

In today's highly technological world, machine embroidery is becoming so popular. Most of the embroideries that are designed nowadays are in fact machine embroidered. From caps, to t-shirts, to towels, and to any garments, machine embroidery designs are evident. And, today with more and more people considering this trend, a lot of clothing and housing firms are turning to machine embroidery for all their products knowing how hot in the market it is.

In the early years of machine embroidery, the craft is said to be so easy to do. It simply involves different shades or colors of threads used to topstitch on a particular material or fabric. The style of stitches used is simply the basic zigzag. Today, with the advancement of technology, the work becomes more complicated. The ordinary machine embroidery has advanced to computerized alternatives. Yes, many of the machine embroidery designs are now computer-assisted, and the machines used are not only capable of doing the finest embroidery result, but can even create sorts of accurate laces on the fabric. Several embroidery software solutions have also come out, allowing the people to create their own machine embroidery designs from scratch.

The machine embroidery designs can be classified into two: free machine embroidery design and computerized machine embroidery design. The former type is done with the use of the traditional zigzag sewing machine. An embroidery hoop is also needed in this type, and what basically makes the free machine embroidery designs great is that they enable the person to create a number of different patterns easily. It is called "free machine embroidery" for the reason that the embroidery hoop employed to create the design is completely handled by hand instead of being attached to the sewing machine.

On the other hand, the computerized machine embroidery designs are generally computer assisted. The designs are pre-programmed from a computer, but they can also be created by using a generic embroidery card which is uploaded into the machine. It is interesting to know that in this type of machine embroidery, the designs are digitized first before they are stitched. Digitization simply means the conversion of a picture to stitches by the use of embroidery software. The software can now be bought from the market either as part of the sewing machine offer, or as a separate item.

Of the types of machine embroidery designs, the computerized type is the most preferred in today's modern society. Many people consider it because the computerized option can be very challenging and fun. You can create beautiful designs especially when you digitize your designs on a computer before you consider stitching. It is also worth knowing that the quality of the computerized machine embroidery designs are far more superior than those made with the ordinary zigzag sewing machine. And, you don't even need to be an adept computer user just to create the designs you want. The work, with the use of the computerized option, will turn out as easy as pie.
