Making the List

So the first step if you are throwing someone an engagement party is for you to make a list. You need to figure out all the people that you are going to be inviting, and then work from this. Depending on where you are going to be having the engagement party, this is really going to determine how many people you are going to be able to invite, because of course you are not going to want things to be too cramped.

You want to make sure that you invite all of the bride and groom's closest friend, or if it is just a party for the bride, invite her friends and family.

Sending Invitations

Now for the engagement party you are going to need to take care of the engagement party invitations. You don't have to spend a ton of money on the invitations, and as long as you are willing to put the effort in, you can even make the invitations up yourself right at home. Just make sure that you get all the details correct.

You don't want to forget to invite anyone on your list, and you should also read over each invitation before sending it out so that you can double check the names and addresses on each. You don't want to accidentally spell anything wrong because this can be really insulting to people.

Decorating

Before people get there for the party, wherever you are going to be having it, you are going to want to make sure that you have everything decorated nicely. This is one of the most important parties for the bride and groom because they are getting married and so this party is supposed to be really special for them.

They are really going to appreciate that you are doing this for them, and that you have taken the time to get everyone that they care about to come to this party and that you care about them enough to do this for you and throw them a party.
