You Take Care Of Your House So Make Money Taking Care Of Houses

You Take Care of Your House so Make Money Taking Care of Houses.

Its easy to feel intimidated about the idea of starting a business at home when your primary skill is being a good mom and homemaker. But its important not to let anyone look down on you for those skills you have developed. But more than just the respect you deserve as mom, those skills actually can be the basis for a very good work-at-home idea that you can do using the same skills you use to take good care of your own home. You simply offer those skills to others as a house sitter so you are taking that same great care of their homes.

On the surface, it might not seem that working as a house sitter really qualifies as "working at home" in that you are working at someone else's home. But it does fit with the goals of many moms who need something other than a regimented 40 hour job that you have to go to and stay at all the time. As a house sitter, you have the freedom to take care of your kids and do the errands and duties of motherhood around your job of looking after the home of your customer.

House sitting is also a great job to do that you can get the kids involved with as well. If you must check in on the house that is in your care once or twice during the day, the kids can come along and enjoy the adventure with you. You can even give them jobs such as watering the plants or attending to the needs of the pets of the house that is in your charge. Your kids will sink their teeth into those tasks with enthusiasm.

Not all housesitting jobs call for you to sleep at the house each night of the time, you are serving the customer. Even if that is part of the job, it can still be a family affair. To some extent, you can simply move your place of residence, kids, spouse and all to the house you are caring for and take your meals there and even let the kids camp out in a room of the house so you are all together.

The goals of house sitting are pretty easy to accomplish if you stay on top of your tasks each day. People that hire a house sitter may have specific things about the house to check on such as the pets or the plants. You may need to bring in the mail and newspapers each day and keep them in some specific place so the client can go through them when he or she gets home. You will check the house to make sure it is safe and that nothing is damaged by weather or by natural occurrences such as a toilet overflowing. If there is an emergency of that nature, you will have some steps to take to notify the homeowner and then get the problem fixed so they don't have to come back from their trip to deal with a bad situation.

But one of the most important duties of a house sitter is to make the house look lived in. By preparing your meals there, watching the television, having the lights on and sleeping in the beds, the activity will assure that the home will not be targeted by thieves who figure out that the homeowner is out of town. You and your family can easily accomplish all of these goals. And since these goals are the same duties you do in your own home, its an easy and fun job that the entire family will enjoy. That makes house sitting one of the best jobs for a work at home mom that there is.
