With any structure, the roof is the most critical part, it should be able to withstand a heavy load, protect against the sun, rain and winds, and equally important, look good as well.
If your shed looks like an eyesore, then maybe the convenience it brings is not worth it, especially if your neighbors and guests complain about it. So make your shed and its roof complimenting to your home, choose a good design and color scheme that will be able to cast a smooth flow with your home and your garden.
