Crossing The Social Networking Chasm - Something Of The Past

Crossing the social networking chasm has not been so easy in the past but with technological advances, we will get to see them in a new light. When the world is changing, Simon Rogers of 2Delta has made over 1 million pounds in potential revenues. 2Delta is a reseller specializing in project management software. He has been successful owing to his participation in Ecademy, which is an online networking site. It was just four months in this business when he was introduced to more than 16 opportunities, worth 75,000 pounds each. Out of sixteen, he has already closed four of them. For people like him, Ecademy has been a significant business accelerator. Simon Rogers believes that although 2Delta is just a start up yet he is miles ahead of where he was before Ecademy changed it all. He built each business into a money machine wherein the annual income revenue was $5 million before he sold them and his hopes are on an all time high.

Moving Ahead From Here

You can ask Simon Rogers about Ecademy whether this social network can work for people who want to build a business. His reply would be as simple. He says, "Absolutely, but it needs to be 'worked' with a process and a view to sharing the rewards. I plan to make money for the people who help me. The word will get around that Rogers is a good man, that his proposition is a good one, that 2Delta delivers the highest quality service and has delighted clients, who give us all repeat business." On the other hand, LinkedIn has gone places with 1 million users. Some other social networking sites have also followed the in it's footsteps to reach the magical figure of 1 million users. Some of the sites that crossed the magic number are Meetup, Tickle and Friendster.

Another site is fast becoming popular is Myspace. The ever so famous band REM announced recently that they would do the preview of their latest album on MySpace. Another website known as OpenBC has gone global in the truest meaning of the word, by supporting languages like German, Spanish, French, English, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese on their site.

Some websites like Classmates are extremely popular and proudly boasts of having over 38 million members. A similar website, Reunion.com has 22 million members while Craigslist gets almost 6 million visitors every month. This shows clearly that there is enough space for the new breed of social networking sites to grow and people are more than willing to pay for the services. The potential market for business networking is enormous and ever increasing.
