Build A Great Relationship With Your E-mail Opt-In Leads In Eight Easy Steps

The goal of e-mail marketing is build your target list and eventually turn your prospects into customers thereby increasing your income. You want to attract prospects that will value the services you offer and stay with you for years and not wander to your competitors. For your business to prosper you need to have consumers who are committed to staying with you and who are comfortable with your style and business ethics. How do you accomplish this? To begin with, you treat your e-mail prospects the same way you treat leads that you converse with face-to-face.

1. Consumers who are committed to a product or a company look for a few things when they are choosing where they are going to spend their money. The primary thing they are looking for is that you are competent in the area of service you are providing. Credentials are very important. The worse thing you can do is to send out an e-mail campaign touting what you have to offer then have the consumer contact you and you are unable to answer their questions. That is a surefire way to lose leads.

2. Consumers are looking for someone who is committed in them just as they are in your service. They want to know that you value them and that they are not simply the next sale you are trying to make. When you make a consumer feel like they are the most important focus of your time and energy, they will want to stay with you. You make them feel important they will spend their money on your products and/or services.

3. Consumers are looking for service providers who will respond to their needs regardless of what those needs are. They want you to listen to their ideas and adjust your products and/or services to fit them. They want to know that you will do whatever you have to so that they are happy. When they are happy with you as a provider of services, they will spend their money with your business

4. Consumers are looking for service providers that are sensitive to their needs and wants. They want you to anticipate what they are going to need next. When you do this, they feel that you are taking your time to get to know them personally and the more they feel that you are paying attention - that is right - they will spend their money on your services.

5. Consumers want providers to be available to them whenever they need you. They do not want to talk to a machine or leave constant e-mail messages that never receive a response. They do not want to feel as if they are part of a mass-marketing ploy only a number to feel your quota. They want you to be there for their need. Again, when they believe that you are paying attention to them and their needs they will buy your products and/or services.

6. When you honor your word with your consumers such as, responding to their request for services promptly, they are more likely to remain a loyal consumer. Being responsive, polite, and available when they need you is the beginning of a long lasting relationship.

7. You can find many services and software that is available that help you with automation. This automation will help in responding to the opt-in requests and opt-outs. Many features available can track your leads and the e-mail campaign that you send out. When you have taken care of the daily needs of your business, you can then focus your energy on cultivating the relationship building of your business. This is the money making part of your business. You can have automation all you want, consumers want a real person to talk too.

8. It is important to know the product you are selling to your leads. If you are selling information, know about the product you are providing. Do not send out mass-market e-mails and then not be able to answer when e-mail responses come in or even if someone calls your business asking for more information.

When you take the time to cultivate a relationship with your prospects they will tell their friends, family, and anyone else they can. When your consumers receive great service, they spread the word. The more they tell others the more leads you cultivate, which will bring you more income.
