The higher up the PPC group of results you want your listing to appear, the more your Pay Per Click campaign will cost you because you will have to pay more to the search engine.


PPC has the advantage of being more targeted than conventional advertising - you do not pay a fixed sum for a PPC listing - you will pay the search engine only for each person that clicks on your link to visit your website. Keep in mind that the clicks so not means sales - Pay Per Click campaigns only brings visitors to your site and it is up to you to convert these visits into sales. The great advantage of PPC is that you will know how many people clicked on your link since you will be billed for this and you are not paying for search engine users who have not visited your site. This means that if your results are good, it will be worthwhile to pay more and get an even higher listing and if the results are disappointing, you can stop your Pay Per Click campaign and try something else.
