The Summit Brokerage Services, Inc. is a full-service stock brokerage company that caters to individual, corporate, and institutional clients. It is a registered securities brokerage firm that is licensed in all the US states including the District of Columbia. A member of the NASD and SIPC, Summit Brokerage, Inc. / SBC / Summit is a federally-regulated Registered Investment Advisor under the authority of the Securities and Exchange Commission. It has notice filings in US states where there is a Summit office with a licensed investment advisory representative, or where there are five+ Summit resident fee-based investment advisory clients. Summit is exempt from notice-filing in all other states. This is because of the Summit subsidiary SBS Insurance Agency of Florida, Inc. and its other affiliated insurance agencies; hence it is already licensed or it no longer required to be licensed for insurance.
