With telemarketing fraud you may find yourself being talked into giving out personal information that you normally would never consider doing, these guys know what they are doing and sound real convincing. Many times they seek the elderly and this is just so sad. These people have worked their entire lives trying to save money and because of telemarketing fraud the elderly are now becoming victims and sometimes during this, they are losing some of their hard earned money. When you give your personal information to anyone over the phone you have got to make sure you know exactly who you are talking to before you do it. Because of so many people getting away with this type of fraud, it is occurring more and more everyday. You need to be aware of the dangers involved with giving out personal information to anyone calling you over the phone. If they say they have a free gift for you but just need to get some personal information, hang up the phone. If anyone ever ask you for your social security number or banking and credit card numbers over the phone, if you are not sure who it is you are speaking with, tell them no.

If you are receiving telephone calls from telemarketing companies then you should try and have them blocked through your phone services, get on their do not call list. If that does not do the trick and someone calls explaining that they have your free gift but you are responsible for delivery and other fees, just hang up on them. If something is actually free, there will be no charge at all, for anything. There would be no reason for them to need anything other than your mailing address. Practice good judgement and go with your gut instinct on this, fraud is happening every single day, many people suffer financially because of it, do not be the next victim.
