More About LSAT Test Registration

After graduating from their bachelor degrees, many students opt to proceed to take up law. To enroll in a law school, they have to take a special test which measures their reading and verbal reasoning skills that are needed in the study and practice of law.

This test is called LSAT, short for Law School Admission Test. This is a standardized half-day exam that is required for admission and enrollment in law schools all over the United States and Canada. This school is administered by the Las School Admission Council or LSAC.

After the student studies and prepares for this exam, he may wish to register himself so he could take the exam. LSAT test registration usually begins long before the exam dates, which usually fall on February, June, October and December. Examinees who wish to apply for law school during fall should take the test by October.

LSAT test registration should be done at least six weeks before the test. This is to avoid late fee. Also, early LSAT test registration gives the examinee a greater chance to get the first pick on which test center he would like to go to.

Many websites can guide the examinee what to do for LSAT test registration. Most often offer LSAT registration information. Usually, asking for this information does not cost any money. All the examinee has to do is to enter his or her name and email address. After a day or two, the examinee will receive an email explaining how to register for the LSAT, where to register and what are the registration schedules and deadlines. The return email will also have important LSAT information on how to prepare for the test.

For the actual registration, the examinee has to register through email, by phone or by email. The LSAC advises examinees to complete the registration the earliest time possible. That's because spots fill up rather quickly.

Another option for registration is to get a copy of the Law Services LSAT Information Bulletin. This booklet is free of charge and has the LSAT registration forms that an examinee needs. It is available in local colleges or law schools. However, if there is none nearby, the examinee can call Law Services at 215 968-1001 for a free copy.

For on-line LSAT test registration, the examinee should create an account in the LSAC website and follow the registration steps. Should he choose to register by phone, he needs to call 215 968-1001. For mail registration, he should follow the steps indicated in the Law Services LSAT Information Bulletin. LSAT test registration requires a fee so examinees have to prepare their credit cards.
