Shopping For The Right Indoor Garden Fountain

An indoor garden fountain can add a wonderful touch to any home. By adding an indoor garden fountain to your home you are making a statement that can be shared by all who enter your home. There are many different styles of indoor garden fountains to choose from and each has their own different appeal. If you are looking to feature a fountain garden indoors, you need to make sure that it will go well with the rest of the décor of your home.

Different Styles And Features Of Indoor Garden Fountains

The first thing you notice when you start looking at indoor garden fountains is how many different styles there are and how dramatically different these styles are. There are three basic styles that all of the fountains can be grouped into. These styles are modern, classic, and natural. Each has a different appeal and will work differently in different homes, so by knowing a little about each style you can pick the best indoor garden fountain for your needs.

The first style is the classic indoor garden fountains. These fountains take inspiration from classical art and architecture. Most feature sculpted columns and extensive relief that you would find in classic roman and great architecture. Gargoyles and other baroque images are common as well. These types of fountains work very well in office spaces and very refined homes. For your average run of the mill American home they can be a tough fit, but if you are doing something in a neo classic or classic revitalization they can have a place. Because they are so dominating they can be tough to fit in.

The next style is the modern style. This style works well just about anywhere as long as most of the line of the room are kept clean and sharp. This type of fountain can have a very polarizing effect on a room so you have to be careful where you place it as it will have a dramatic effect on the room no matter where it goes.

The last style to look at is the natural style. This style is based around nature and is good fit for more relaxed rooms without the stuffiness of the other two styles. This style works best in residential places and has a calming effect on the rest of the room. Use this type of fountain in an area of the house where you want to go to relax.
