Bamboo Garden Is An Holistic Garden

The decision of having a bamboo garden design could be based on a variety of factors such as just being holistic, a Japanese bamboo garden theme, or just that you love the look of bamboo itself. The choice is yours.

With any garden, including the bamboo garden design, it is important not to use excessive amounts of the bamboo, as you will find this does not work or look good in the end. A simple bamboo garden design is better, just using bamboo here and there, throughout the garden to make it flow.

Importing Bamboo Could Prove Difficult

What could be done if you insist on using excessive amounts of bamboo in your bamboo garden design, is to make sure that the majority of it is not tall, but lower lying if possible. Since bamboo naturally grows tall, there are some geneses or species that have been altered that don't grow so tall. These shorter species of bamboo would not be that easy to get your hands on but could probably be imported at a phenomenal price if you insist on having it. Also depending on where you live, importing may not be that easy as some countries laws do not allow just any wooden products to be brought into the country due to environmental issues or just bugs that could be in the products.

More Than Just A Garden For Creatures Big And Small

So with everything said, you would have to search and research from your local nursery what geneses or species are available in your area and country to plant for your bamboo garden design. Your local nurseryman would be able to inform you which bamboo plant is also best for what you are planning to do with your bamboo garden design and how to care properly for the plants and what bugs to look out for with them.

Since bamboo leaves do rot fast, a whole host of other creatures would be entering your bamboo garden design space, it is important to know holistically how to get rid of unwanted bugs or treat the plants if they have a disease. Since bamboo is a great place to hide for creatures you will also find that some rare birds have entered your new bamboo garden you have created, this is just an added bonus for your part. If you do love the sound of birds chirping you could also have started a whole new hobby for yourself, bird watching.
