When choosing a bamboo garden plant for your bamboo garden design it is vital to know which plant to chose. You could also have bamboo chimes hanging around your garden or bamboo torches to light up the area, but make sure they are sturdy and not in a area that would cause a fire hazard.

 

Since the bamboo garden plant can be used in so many ways, you could also have a deck made out of it too, but the base has to be totally solid, as thin bamboo shafts it would not be able to carry the weight of heavy things placed on it and therefore snap in an instant.

 

If you are deciding to make a deck out of the shoots from a bamboo garden plant it would be wiser to use the thickest shafts you could get your hands on, like those used for rescue rafts in the movies. They are more durable than the thinner ones for this purpose, and can also be treated on a regular basis. When making a deck with this finish, it is now possible that the deck can be raised slightly off the ground to ensure it lasts longer without staying continuously moist and rotting away faster. The base that the deck is laid on could be made out of steel or tar treated wooden poles to ensure that these also last long.
