Application Of The Hydroponic Nutrient Solution

The hydroponic nutrient solution is made from the different nutrients required by plants for their growth, especially at the different stages such as flowering and vegetation. In most cases, the diseases in crops are because of the wrong fertilizers or the right fertilizers but applied in the wrong proportions. This may vary from very weak plants because of very small proportions of the hydroponic nutrient solution to burning the plants due to the high concentration of the fertilizers applied.  The hydroponic solution is sold in a form that is concentrated so that it is diluted with water before applying.

Proportions To Apply

The proportions of the hydroponic nutrient solution required by different plants vary from one crop to another. Most hydroponic solutions sold in stores such as the general hydroponics nutrients are more than one part and should not be combined directly. The specific parts should be mixed directly with water. The parts should be mixed with regard to the specific amount of the hydroponic nutrient solution required by the different plants. The criteria for its application therefore involve checking the area where the plants are growing. For instance, a crop growing in an area where the growing conditions are very poor, a weak hydroponic nutrient solution should be used. These areas include where the plants are crowded, low-lit gardens or overheated gardens. Cuttings that are freshly rooted are also ideal for the weak solution.

The proportion of the hydroponic nutrient solution applied for strong plants that have the ideal conditions for growth is the regular strength solution. In some cases however, a person may increase the strength of this solution in order to capitalize on the efficiency of their gardens. This may only be done if their garden is well lit with quality light, carbon dioxide production as well as proper ventilation. The conditions will enable the plants to grow in this environment fast enough.

The hydroponic nutrient solution may be used alongside some additives, which will help boost the growth of the plants. In addition, the plant growth should be monitored using a growth log in order to determine the effect of the additives in the growth of the plants. In the near future, the growth log enables one to determine the additives that were effective on specific crops. The hydroponic nutrient solution may be purchased from the general stores or made using the different components of the hydroponic solution. Happy gardening!
